4Moms mamaRoo is a stylish part swing and part bouncer, and it provides the benefits of each. It is designed to replicate the movements of real moms and dads while comforting their babies. It is true when 4Moms says that parents bounce and sway and neither swings nor bouncers mimic parents’ natural movements, but MamaRoo is created to move like you do and it is a great invention that must only be plugged in, no batteries required, which means it can keep going all night.
Out of the box, it takes 5 minutes to assemble and it takes up so little space. It replaces the need for a large and battery-eating swing and it’s easy to transport from room to room. The design is stylish and the base is nice and wide so you don’t have to worry about it tipping over. The seat reclines to any position along its axis from nearly flat for newborns to as upright as an infant chair. It also detects obstructions, it won’t run if recline is unlocked.
The movements are truly natural so baby doesn’t come dependent on the artificial motion of a swing to fall asleep. It has five special motions that reproduce the natural movements of parents (Car Ride, Kangaroo, Tree Swing, Rock-A-Bye and Ocean Wave) and five speeds for each motion, which are faster than the last versions.
It has gentle movement even on the fast speed which is a good thing because your baby can stay in it for longer time. The purpose of this is different from that of a bouncer or a traditional swing. The speed is adjustable for rest or play, faster speeds are good to stimulate while slower speeds are better for calming the baby. The motions are so soothing that you may possibly fall asleep too just watching it .

Another great add-on is the built-in nature soothing sounds like running water, crickets, ocean waves and two different white noise settings – and who knows maybe your baby will start meditating on them – also an MP3 hookup compatible with any Mp3 player (maybe he likes to be entertained by Bob Marley), including Ipods and Iphones, though I do not recommend keeping the phone close to your child because of the radiation emitted by it. The LCD display makes operation simple and easy even with your toes when your hands are full.
It is available in six colors, four Plush (blue, multi, silver, green) and two Classic (black and silver). The Plush is an upgraded version of the classic one with a much softer fabric, that’s even more comfortable for your baby. Just like the classic fabric, the plush is machine washable and can also be wiped clean pretty easily. It is easy to unzip of your mamaRoo. The classic version can be “upgraded” for use with another baby by using the Infant Insert which is also made of the Plush fabric.
4Moms thought this infant seat in every little detail. The removable toy mobile has three plush toy balls which are black and white on one side for infants and on the other side are colorful versions of Van Gogh, Monet and Seurat paintings for babies around 4 months. Toys are perfectly sized for little hands and easily pop on and off the mobile.
This is suitable for babies from birth up to 25 pounds and must stop using it once the child can sit up unassisted.
After analyzing many reviews of this product from many different sites, I found out that some kids like it, some do not, and some didn’t like it at first but loved it after 1-2 months. The same is true for swings and bouncers! So, if you intent to get this, you should realize that your baby will either love it or hate it, or love it later after she/he first hated it. I read that colicky babies feel a lot better when riding in a car, therefore this nanny machine may work for them too. The mamaRoo does a good job of mimicking a parent’s natural swaying or bouncing motions, but I have also read that some babies don’t like it because it doesn’t go fast enough for them, particularly if they first used a swing. I am sure it will not surprise you when I say that every baby is different and you cannot know what your baby likes until he tries it.

It’s amazing how one setting will calm one baby and not satisfy another. For this reason, mamaRoo has numerous motions, speeds, sounds (including MP3 option), and seat positions to select from so it will hopefully assist you in finding what is most effective for your kid.
While I think that this product is rather pricey, I can imagine that it can offer babies and their stressed and tired parents many hours of calm and sleep and that is priceless to any parent! It seems that the prices are the same on pretty much every site, the Classic version being cheaper than the Plush one. Therefore, the website where you buy is a matter of convenience.
If you want to buy this product for your dear baby and yourself, I recommend you to do it from this site which is an authorized dealer and also offers free shipping for US orders over $100, therefore your 4Moms mamaRoo baby swing – bouncer comes with FREE SHIPPING. If you are from Canada, you can order from their site as their are shipping to your country.
